Ingrid Nilsen was born on February 2, 1989, in Rowland Heights, California. She is a YouTube beauty guru, TV hostess, and video blogger (vlogger). She started her YouTube channel, Missglamorazzi, in 2009 in order to overcome her fear of public speaking. As of June 2017, she has over 3.9 million subscribers to her YouTube channel with 354 million accumulated views.
Nilsen has been nominated for a Teens Choice Award and Streamy Award for the years 2014 and 2015, winning a Streamy for Best Beauty Program in 2014. In January 2015, she got the opportunity to interview then US president Barack Obama, which was hosted in the White House. One of the topics discussed was the discrimination against the LGBT+ community. In March 2016, Nilsen was named one of the UN’s Change Ambassadors, along with six other YouTube content creators, which focuses on the fight for gender equality.
