Born in October 3, 1975, India Arie or legally known as India Arie Simpson is from Denver, Colorado. At the age of 13, Arie moved to Atlanta. She then learned playing the guitar in high school die to her mother’s encouragement. Since Atlanta became home to many musicians, she developed her musical prowess.
Arie’s debut album is entitled “Acoustic Soul.” She gave great impressions to the musical audience, winning her four Grammys and hitting the top spots in the Top Ten of the Billboard 2000 with five consecutive positions. The album’s single entitled “Video” was well received by major clubs and radio stations during the year 2001. Then the album “Voyage to India” was released in September 2002.
