Gordon Daniel Hayward was born on March 23, 1990 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is an American professional basketball player. He joined the Boston Celtics of the NBA as a small forward. Hayward played basketball at Butler University for two seasons. In his second year, he led his team to finish as runner-up in the NCAA Tournament (2010).
Hayward has gained incredible achievements in his career, including the Horizon League Newcomer of the Year in 2009. He won the First-team All-Horizon League in both 2009 and 2010. He was able to also win the Horizon League Player of the Year in 2010. Possibly his most notable award was the NBA All-Star Award in 2017.
