God Is An Astronaut is an Irish post-rock band formed in County Wicklow in 2002. The band was formed by the twin brothers Niels and Torsten Kinsella. The current members of the band are Torsten Kinsella on vocals and guitar, Niels Kinsella on bass guitar, Robert Murphy on keyboards and synthesizer, and Lloyd Hanney on drums. In 2002 they released their debut studio album titled The End of the Beginning and have since released the albums All Is Violent, All Is Bright, Far from Refuge, God Is an Astronaut, Age of the Fifth Sun, Origins, Helios | Erebus, and Epitaph. They have also released an EP titled A Moment of Stillness. The band has released their music and albums through the labels Napalm Records, Revive, and Rocket Girl. In 2008 they went on their first North American tour.
