Giannis Antetokounmpo was born on December 6, 1994 in Athens Greece. He is an avid basketball player who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks and in the Greece National Basketball association. In his early days, he struggled to make ends meet with his Nigerian immigrant parents by selling items like watches, bags and sunglasses. In 2009, his luck changed and he began his professional basketball playing with the youth’s squad of Filathlitikos. In 2012, he advanced to join the Filathlitikos senior squad and played in the Greece’s second tier basketball league and the Greek A2 league. He later signed a 4 year contract with Spanish club CAI Zaragoz. In 2013 Giannis made himself eligible for the NBA draft and gained massive success. His awards include NBA all rookie second team (2014), NBA Rising stars challenge participant (2014, 2015) and NBA all-star (2017). among others.
