Flogging Molly is an Irish-American Celtic punk band out of Los Angeles, California. The group consists of the following members: Dave King, Bridget Regan, Dennis Casey, Nathen Maxwell, Bob Schmidt, Mike Alonso, and Matt Hensley. The band formed in 1997 when lead singer Dave King met the other members of the band in 1993.
Their musical careers took off with the release of a live album in 1997 called Alive Behind the Green Door. They released their first studio album in 2000 called Swagger. Their next studio album came out in 2002 called Drunken Lullabies. The band then hit the road to support their album and to grow their fan base. The next album appeared in 2004 called Within a Mile of Home. In 2007, after touring extensively, the band released an EP called Complete Control Sessions. A year later the fourth album, Float, followed in its wake. In 2008 they began hosting an annual cruise on Saint Patrick’s Day called the Salty Dog Cruise. They returned to the studio in 2017 to records their sixth album called Life is Good.
