Charlie Puth

Charlie Puth grew up in Rumson, New Jersey. His mom being to teach him piano when he was four years old. He began to study Jazz at 10 years old, and in high school he would spend his weekends commuting into the city to study classical and jazz at the Manhattan School of Music in Harlem. He bought his first keyboard at the age of 11 and started making CDs. He sold his first Christmas CD door to door when he was 11. Puth began writing his own songs and posting them on YouTube. Puth and a friend did a cover of Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’ For A Perez Hilton covers contest and Ellen DeGeneres put him on her show in 2011. Puth has been inspired by artists like Marvin Gaye which was the inspiration for his debut single ‘Marvin Gaye’ which he produced with Meghan Trainor. Puth was also a co-writer and singer on the ‘See You Again’ single by Wiz Khalifa.
