Carpenter Brut is the stage name for the French synthwave artist Franck Hueso. He was born in Poitiers, France in 1977. He released his debut EP in 2012 titled Carpenter Brut and followed it up in 2013 with Carpenter Brut II and Carpenter Brut III in 2015. In 2015 he renamed the EPs I, II, and III and released them under the name Trilogy. In 2018 he released his debut studio album titled Leather Teeth. He also has a live album that he released in 2017 titled Carpenter Brut Live. When performing live he is joined by the guitarist Adrien Grousset, and the drummer Florent Marcadet from the French metal band Hacride. He has been on tour in Europe and the United States. In 2016 he toured with the Swedish band Ghost in the United States.
