Originating in New York City in 2013, Cardiknox is the duo of Lonnie Angle and Thomas Dutton. The pair first met in their hometown of Seattle, where Angle played classical music while Dutton favored punk rock. Dutton wrote a rock opera called Razia’s Shadow and he and Angle, along with Dutton’s brother Paul, began to work on developing it into a full-fledged musical, a project which lead them to relocate to New York City.
In 2013, they took a break from working on the musical and began getting serious about music. Their debut single is entitled “Hold Me Down.” Cardiknox has played festivals such as South by Southwest and Lollapalooza, as well as accompanying singer-songwriter Betty Who on her nationwide tour.
