Cam

Cam, born Camaron Marvel Ochs, is an American country music singer-songwriter from Huntington Beach, California. She considers Patsy Cline, Bonnie Raitt, and Willie Nelson to be three of her most important influences, and began listening to artists like these at an early age. When she was in college, she started and participated in an a cappella group, sparking her interest in creating music. She released her debut self-released album, Heartforward, in 2010.

After college, she moved to Los Angeles to begin writing demos. Her song “Fall Madly in Love With You” was featured on Maggie Rose’s debut album, and “Maybe You’re Right” was picked up by Miley Cyrus for her album Bangerz. After working as a songwriter for other artists, Cam released her debut single “My Mistake” through Arista Records in 2014. It was featured on her EP Welcome to Cam Country released that same year. “My Mistake” became one of Billboard’s Tomorrow’s Hits in 2015 and debuted at #58 on Billboard’s Country Airplay. In less than a month, Welcome to Cam Country received more than 5 million streams on Spotify. Her second single from the EP, “Burning House,” debuted in 2015 at #12 on US Hot Country.
