Calvin Harris

Known to the world as Calvin Harris, Adam Richard Wiles was born on January 17, 1984, in Dumfries, Scotland. Harris was discovered through his MySpace page in the early 2000s, and later signed with Three Six Zero Group, EMI, and Sony BMG in 2006. A year later, he released his first album entitled I Created Disco, featuring the singles “Vegas” and “Acceptable in the 80s”. He released his sophomore album Ready for the Weekend in 2009, which later went Gold. After appearing at a variety of festivals, Calvin Harris released the popular hit “Feel So Close” in 2011, and later released the single “Let’s Go” with Ne-Yo in 2012. That year, he was chosen to be the house DJ at the MTV Video Music Awards, and he and Rihanna won the award for Video of the Year for their single “We Found Love”. In order to promote his fourth album, Calvin Harris released the song “Summer” in 2014, which charted at the #1 slot in both the UK and in Ireland.
