Barbara Walters

Barbara Walters was born September 25th, 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts. She attended the Sarah Lawrence College in New York, where she received a bachelor of arts in English. Walters is best known as the longtime host of The Today Show, which she did from 1964 to 2012. For her time on the show, Walters won a Primetime Emmy in 1983, and a Daytime Emmy in 2009, as well as a special Lifetime Achievement Emmy in 2009.

In addition to her work on The Today Show, Walters has also hosted 20/20, ABC World News Tonight, and The View (which she is also the executive producer for). In 1990, she was inducted into the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame.
