Barbara Tucker is a singer-songwriter from the boroughs of New York, who plays in the house / dance genre with a heavy dose of soul and a nostalgic retro style that will remind you of Motown classics. Which should come as no surprise when you find out her father was “Little” Jayotis Washington, of the New York group The Persuasions. Tucker has carved out her own niche in the HI-NRG stage show circuit in New York.
Barbara Tucker is also a dancer and choreographer, rounding out her diva resume. She’s the only recording artist to score an annual residency at Europe’s club Ibiza. Her released singles extend from 1994 to this writing, including many #1 Billboard Hot Dance charts such as “Beautiful People,” “I Get Lifted,” and “Stay Together.”
