Angelina Jolie is an Academy Award – winning Actress, film producer, and humanitarian born on June 4, 1975, in Los Angeles, California. She is one of the highest paid actresses in the film industry and is a mega-star worldwide. Jolie started her acting career at age 7 in the film Looking to Get Out, acting alongside her father Jon Voight. Her name became well known after playing the role of Lara Croft in the series of Tomb Raider movies. She went on to star in big movies including Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Beowulf, Wanted, Changelings, Salt, Maleficent and numerous more as well as numerous television appearances. Jolie has also been in music videos such as “Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through” by Meat Loaf, “Anybody Seen My Baby?” by The Rolling Stones and a few others. In 2011 she made her directorial debut with the feature length film with The Land of Blood and Honey and has produced several movies since. Jolie has been awarded an Academy Award, three Golden Globe Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards throughout her career in Hollywood and has been nominated for many more. She has also been awarded a Jean Hershel Humanitarian Award and other honors for her humanitarian work.
