Alkaline Trio

Alkaline Trio is an American rock band formed in McHenry, Illinois in 1996. The band was started with the members Matt Skiba on vocals and guitar, Rob Doran on bass guitar, and Glen Porter on drums. The current band members are Matt Skiba as the lead vocalist and guitar, Dan Andriano as the co-vocalist and on bass guitar, and Derek Grant the drums. In 1997 they released their debut single “Sundials” and in 1998 released their debut EP titled For Your Lungs Only and their debut album Goddamnit. They have since released the albums Maybe I’ll Catch Fire, From Here to Infirmary, Good Mourning, Crimson, Agony & Irony, This Addiction, The Shame Is True, and Is This Thing Cursed?. They have also released 4 compilation albums, 3 EPs, and 18 singles. Their first album to reach the Billboard top 200 was in 2001 with the release of From Here to Infirmary. The band’s sound has been described as punk rock, pop punk, emo, emo pop, and hardcore punk and their lyrics include themes like girls, alcoholism, love, and depression.
