Alexis Bledel was born Kimberly Alexis Bledel on September 16, 1981, in Houston Texas. She appeared on the films Tuck Everlasting (2002) as Winnie Foster, in Sin City (2005) as Becky, and in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005) as Lena. She appeared in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 in the same role. She is also set to appear in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3.
She played Rory Gilmore in Gilmore Girls, and she took over her old role in the series in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. She was also in Mad Men, Motive, and in Us & Them. Her most recent TV appearance was in The Handmaid’s Tale as Emily.
She won the Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series award from the Online Film & Television Association and another award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series from the Primetime Emmy Awards for her appearance in The Handmaid’s Tale.
