Alexa Ray Joel is an American singer, songwriter and pianist, hailing from New York and born on December 29th 1985 she was born into a well known family, her father legendary singer and songwriter Billy Joel and model Christie Brinkley. Known for her melodic songwriting and learnt how to produce music by watching her father at the age of fifteen.
In 2006 the artist dropped her first EP Sketches, taking the music from this album with her as she performed at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, even performing with her father on multiple occasions. She then released many singles such as Notice Me, Beg You to Stay and Just the Way You Are.
