Akon

Akon, born Aliaume Damala Badara Akon Thiam was born on April the 16th 1973 in Missouri and is an American singer, songwriter, actor, record producer and businessman of Senegalese descent. With a career that took off in 2004 with the release of the hit single Locked up from his first album Trouble, a song which topped the charts all over the world, Akon cemented himself as an artist with a unique sound.

He then released his second album Konvicted and third album Freedom, touring with the likes of Gwen Stefani, Rihanna, T-Pain and Usher to promote his music, he is also known for working as an actor in recent years with films such as Black November and the action film American Heist a 2014 action film that starred Hayden Christensen and Adrien Brody.
